Dear Vicki and Staff Members,

Please forgive me for not writing sooner, I have tried.  However, until now, I have not been able to put the words on paper…..

Thank you, two small words that mean so much.

Thank you, for how you received Mom when she came to live at Golden Empire.  The enthusiasm everyone shard with her made her feel so welcomed. 

Thank you, for the activities.  She loved participating in them and being with the other residents.  I believe some of her favorites were church, ceramics and bingo.

Thank you, for being you.  Mom was so happy that she ha made new friends.  Not only residents, but members of the staff.  These friendships were special, warming and comforting to her.

Thank you, for the tender loving care, the interaction that each of you gave her.  The winks from across the room, th hugs while passing in the hallways, the special conversations.  All of these actions meant so much to her, and to us….it was very obvious that you cared!

Thank you, for your loving care which never waivered, it was constant, from the beginning until the end.

To the Wonderful staff at Golden Empire,

     Our heartfelt appreciation and admiration for all your care and treatment of Al Thelander during his last days. 

     It was so comforting to know that Dad was in such capable and loving care when we could not be there with him.  It was clear to me that too many of you, your work is more of a “calling” than just a job, and we are grateful to you for that.  

     It is clear that the residents at Golden Empire are see as “people” rather than “patients”, and that makes such a difference to the families who have to leave a loved one with you.  

     Thank you from the whole family for your professional and very personal care of Al/Dad.  And for the very thoughtful way you helped each of us deal with the difficult news of his passing.

Dear Golden Empire Staff,

On behalf of my family I want to thank you for everything you did for my father.  Your entire staff were always so kind and you all took such good care of my dad throughout his stay at Golden Empire. 

He was a wonderful man, and he deserved the best when we were not able to care for him at home anymore.  He received that from you, thank you.  

Thank you also for making his last days comforting and hospice-like.  That was a tender and special time for our family.

Dear Golden Empire,

Thank you for the wonderful care I received while recovering from my injuries over the past two months.  Everyone was so caring, kind and sensitive to my needs the entire time.  I am amazed at what a wonderful staff in the In House Rehabilitation Department.

I am also confident that the rapid improvement I made is due to the help and everyone's attitude; you made a difficult and stressful event be not just tolerable but as pleasant as humanly possible.
